Flutter Entertainment declared today (April 28) that Jonathan Hill, the group’s Chief Operating Officer, has resigned from the company’s governing body.
Hill acted as the company’s Chief Financial Officer from 2018 to March 2023, when he was replaced by Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson.
The operator made the change to “utilize Flutter’s worldwide scope” and back the strategic direction of the enterprise.
Flutter CEO Peter Jackson, discussing Hill’s new position in October, stated he wanted to “express gratitude to Jonathan for all he has contributed to Flutter thus far.”
He remarked: “I am pleased that the group will continue to gain from his expertise as he develops the new Chief Operating Officer role.”
Flutter stakeholders approved a dual listing in the United States.
Yesterday (April 27), Flutter stakeholders voted to endorse the company’s aim to seek an extra listing in the United States, with plans to list in the middle of the fourth quarter of 2023.
The business has not confirmed whether it will endeavor to list its shares on the Nasdaq Stock Market or the New York Stock Exchange.
The operator stated it hopes that an extra listing in the United States will enable the business to acquire deeper access to capital markets and American investors.
The firm is also hoping that going public in the United States will aid them in gaining greater recognition in North America. They also believe it will simplify the process of attracting and retaining top talent.
Following the vote, Flutter will continue to operate from Dublin and will remain an Irish entity.
