Kansas Sports Betting Reaches New High in November

The Kansas sports gambling total reached a new peak in November, marking the third month in a row of record-breaking figures. Gamblers placed a total of $260.9 million (£204.5 million/€237.5 million) across digital and physical betting locations.

The overall total in November was 4.5% higher than the previous record of $249.7 million set in October. It was also 40.0% higher than the $186.4 million wagered in Kansas in November of the previous year.

Of the total amount wagered, $251.7 million was placed online, with the remaining $9.2 million placed at physical sportsbooks across Kansas.

However, the record-breaking total did not result in record-breaking income. Kansas sports betting income reached $8.9 million in November. This was 38.2% lower than the record $14.4 million generated in October, but 11.3% higher than the $8 million generated in November 2022.

Digital sports betting in Kansas generated $8.2 million of the total income. Physical sportsbooks contributed an additional $753,778.

Boot Hill and Kansas Star surpassed $100 million in total wagered
Breaking down the market, Boot Hill Casino and DraftKings remain the leaders in the Kansas digital betting space. The partnership generated $4.2 million in income from a total wagered of $109.6 million.

Coming in second is Kansas Star and FanDuel, which generated $2.8 million in income from a total wagered of $80.1 million. The partnership between Kansas Crossing and BetMGM ranked third, generating $962,326 in income from a total wagered of $24.1 million.

The retail sector is being led by Barstool and Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway. This collaboration brought in $528,142 in income from $6.3 million in wagers.

FanDuel and Kansas Star are in second place in the retail sector, generating $174,148 in income from $1.7 million in wagers. Caesar’s and Kansas Crossing are close behind, bringing in $51,488 in income from $463,914 in wagers.

Kansas collected $892,968 in gambling taxes this month. Of this, $817,590 came from online gambling and $75,378 came from retail.
