Yggdrasil, a firm that offers online gaming solutions, has appointed Alex Haywood to lead their Polish division.
Haywood joins Yggdrasil after serving as the managing director of Liquid Barcodes, a marketing technology firm. He possesses extensive experience in the gambling sector, having served as the chief technology officer for Interactive Gaming Group and spending several years at Evolution, including a period as the head of IT business operations.
The chief executive officer of Yggdrasil, James Curwen, stated that Haywood’s expertise and abilities will aid them in innovating and expanding.
This appointment is part of Yggdrasil’s strategy to reorganize their operations. They have made adjustments to their workforce, and they are merging their product and program divisions with their studio departments.
Going forward, the enterprise will function under the name “Gaming.”
Yggdrasil declares that this shift will aid in enhancing company clarity, streamlining procedures, and yielding numerous operational benefits.
As part of the reorganization, Chief Gaming Officer Mark McKinley will assume the new position of Chief Product Officer. McKinley will oversee Yggdrasil’s gaming product catalog and Master Studios initiative.

Cohen Assumes the Role of Yggdrasil CEO
Cohen is no stranger to the position, having been appointed CEO in August, succeeding Björn Krantz. He officially took charge on October 1st.
Cohen spent two and a half years as Chief Online Officer at OPAP. Before that, Cohen was the CEO of Golden Rock Studios and held the position of Chief Gaming Officer at Superbet.
Cohen also spent almost six years at William Hill, holding senior positions such as Chief Gaming Product Officer. Furthermore, he has worked at RandomGamesLimited UK and Ladbrokes.
